i have a question with forced back..lets say my opponent decides to summon Jinzo, and he needs to tribute the monster...would forced back like stop the jinzo from being summoned, and the opponent loses the monster they tributed or does forced back only keep jinzo in the hand and the opponent still keeps their monster?

The Tribute is not recovered. "Jinzo" goes back to the hand and the Tribute monster is lost.

Hope this helps!

Forced Back is a counter trap that activates and resolves before Jinzo can hit the field and activate it's effect of negating trap cards. Like Kyhotae said, the tribute monster is lost and Jinzo remains in the hand waiting for the next time it can be tribute summoned.

Think of tributes as you would a cost. When you negate an effect or summon, the cost is non-refundable. So for example, you wouldn't get the card discarded for Magic Jammer if it were negated by something like Seven Tools of the Bandit, nor would you recover any Life Points paid if your Toon World's activation were negated. Divine Wrath the effect of Cannon Soldier, and the monster tributed is stays tributed. Tributes for a summon work the same way. Cost is payed first, then the summon occurs. You can negate the summon, but the cost has already been payed.
