Gearfried + Butterfly Dagger Elma

If Butterfly is equiped to Gearfried, and destroyed due to it's effect, does it go back to your hand, cause I've heard some people say yes, and some people say no.

YES.. it does because of the wording of Gearfried... it says that the card equipped to him is DESTROYED..... and Butterfly Dagger only goes back to the hand if it WAS DESTROYED..... so yes... whereas... if you use the effect of a card that says SEND TO THE GRAVEYARD, than it would not.... make sense???

yes it goes back to hand. you can combine this combo with magical marrionette to gain infinite atk points. OR royal magical library and draw carsd from your deck until you get the cards that you want i.e. exodia pieces.
