Great Shogun Shien vs Dark Coffin and friends

Hello guys and gals, long time no see.

I have a question about Great Shogun Shien and Dark Coffin.

If Dark Coffin is destroyed while Shien is on the field, can you still activate another spell/trap?

The text of Dark Coffin is:
"When this face-down card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, your opponent selects and executes 1 of the following effects:
- Discard 1 random card in their hand.
- Select 1 monster on their side of the field and destroy it."

It never says that the card is activated, just that 1 of the effects trigger, but if you look at the first ruling it says:
"This card is only activated if sent from the field to the Graveyard. There is no way to activate this card while it is Set on the field."
So the card DOES activate and in my opinion it counts against Shien. Am I right or can another card still be activated?

Thanks in advance

By "this card" it is referring to the effect of "Dark Coffin." When it is destroyed, its effect activates, not the card itself. You can't even activate a Trap Card from the Graveyard, which is where the effect activates. It has no affect on how many Spell and Trap Cards you can play while Shien is active.

I can understand that (although it could've been a BKSS ruling that Dark Coffin is a card that would activate), but the strange thing is:

Ruling 1 says that the CARD is activated if it is sent from the field to the graveyard, while ruling 2 and 3 says that the EFFECT is activated, is this just inconsistancy from UDE?

Most likely, as they are a bit inconsistent with exactly what they mean, especially for old rulings they've had since the dark ages that were developed before certain card texts were formated.
