Gyaku Gire Panda

Gyaku-Gire Panda

Earth ... Beast 800/1600

Effect
"The ATK of this card increases by 500 points for every monster on your opponent's side of the field. When this card attacks with an ATK that is higher than the DEF of your opponent's Defense Position monster inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent's Life Points."

OK, all I have to say is this is a pretty awesome card. Cyber Jar? hurts them and then opponent put out his monsters.... (better if you got him after the effect though)... .... Swarming Warrior Decks??? go ahead and swarm... Opponent used Scapegoats or You used Ojama Trio??? Oh ya.... you get the Idea. This is a card that wins tournaments (at least for me).. I think Panda has to be the most underrated card in the game.

With a 1600 Def. He has decent stats. ... and unlike our buddy Spear Dragon he doesnt have to go to defense mode.
Top deck wise, he is only great when your opponent is swarming, then you have a beatstick to slam him/her with.
There are so many ways to use panda... Your opponents playing a swarming deck like warriors or zombies.... so set your Giant Rat... and when they dump 3 or more guys on the field and attack, you fetch him.
They are definitely going to think twice about using that Scapegoats to protect their lifepoints this turn. And to be even more nasty spring an Ojama Trio on them then attack......

I would have to give this card a 3.5 / 5... just because sometimes you do not want to top deck him. But its a great card to have against Stall OR Swarming decks.

Keep in mind that Gyaku Gre Panda will always be at 1300 Attack when it battles (except with Skill drain)

In an earth Deck, Gaia Power guarantees this card to have at least 1800 when it battles, perfectly competitive in the Metagame.

This guy is a double-edged sword. Ok, your opponent has 2 monsters on the field and you summon this card. Now he's at 1800 ATK and you use him to destroy a monster and he's back down to 1300 unless your opponent summons again on the next turn.

It has potential against the right deck(s), it just seems too conditional to my taste. But hey, that's a pretty unique effect :)

Try drawing this guy and having him in your hand when your opponent decides to flip Scapegoats... or get im on the draw from Cyber Jar... just more bad news for them, plus they probably wont want to bring out another monster because it makes him bigger.

Fits Under Gravity Bind
Fits under Level Limit Area B

These are two of the new beloved defense cards.... Those stall decks are just waiting for Panda and Flame Sprite to team up and Chop them to bits.

Panda....ahh....
I used to run an earth deck revolving around them. Now ( because of their weaknesses against beatsticks and the problem of them fighting one on one) i side deck three of them along with 2 ojama trios when i play my earth/phoenix speed deck.

The great part about them is that they can inflict a decent amount of damage to an opponet when they are on the defensive. They are a 3-star so they can go under binds, and ( for my deck at least) they are earth and they have a decent amount of support.

Main deck wise pandas are weak and should have plenty of support in order to ever become strong enough to destroy an opponet.

I side deck this card against most burns, or swarm decks so that a topdeck of a panda would be a good thing since most burns set alot of monsters, and most swarms are defense-less after getting the field filled with monsters.

I give this card a 3.7 out of 5 for a side deck
a 4.0 for a earth deck
and a 1.5 for being main decked into some CCC

Gyaku-Gire Panda is a very nice panda card. (He's cute though)

With weak attack point 800, but with 500 extra for each monster your opponent having.

1 - 1300
2 - 1800 (wow this is some decend attack)
3 - 2300 (Last time, I checked Goblin Attack Force still the best lvl 4 attacker beside Amor Exe, and Rare Metal Dragon)
4 - 2800 (Stronger than Jinzo or Monarchs and even my Dark Ruler Ha Des)
5 - 3200 (Stronger than Blue-Eyes White Dragon)

Beside the power of increasing attack, it also had trample effect. You always need trample effect to use against Spirit Reaper. Tell me how many of you guys is not running Scapegoat in your deck? It's very small number. If you wanted to run this card more efficiency, then you run Ojama Trio. Three monsters extra (+3) So this card is 2300 attack point (also equal to Goblin Attack Force without baddraw effect) or stronger.

Trample those Ojama Trio, so they take about +1300 and also 300 from Ojama Trio. Especially use this card to trample Scapegoat will devastate your opponent.

this is awsome and why not even throw maju-gire panda along with it and ojama trio thats some fun right there

opponent plays scapegoat
you play xing zhen hu and spatial collapse
then play heart of clear water on his scapegoat,
then summon panda!
trample his goat (the one with HOCW) while he cries :D
