Hand of the Nephthys

If I summon Apprentice Magican and attack my opponents face up attack monster in order to destroy Apprentice to get her effect and bring the Hand of the Nephthys face down.Can I then offer Hand of the Nephthys and another monster on my side of the field to special summon the Phoenix even tho shes face down?

No, because HoN is an Ignition Effect. Ignition Effects can't be activated while face down. Sorry.
