Heavy Slump vs Graceful Charity

It is possibel to chain Heavy Slump when my open use Graceful Charity?

He has 6 cards on hand. He use Graceful and draw 3 cards (6-1+3=8) and before he discard the 2 cards payment cost I chain Heavy slump and let him shuffle he's hand in to the deck and draw 2 new cards and then i need to discard 2 cards becuse of the effect of Gracful

Can I use this combo or not? (Not an expert how chains works so..:embarasse ..)

A) You can't 'chain' a card to an already resolving card...

B: Heavy Slump can't be chained to it, because at the begin and in the end, he has less then 8 cards...

In other words, Graceful Charity's drawing AND discarding both occur during resolution. So by that time, it's too late for anything else to intervene.
