Anyone here play D&D? Sure you play D&D. You're a gamer after all. I got a question I haven't been able to answer.

When creating a character with a level adjustment, say a +4 adjust ment on a level 1 character, how many hit dice does the character have, 1 or 5?

Assuming you're talking about D&D 3E or 3.5E, the answer is 5 HD as the character is now Level 5.

3.5, to answer your question. But what dice do I specifically use? d6, d12, is it whatever class I start out with it's that dice I use?

ex: A half-fiend has a level adjustment of +4.
It's first class is fighter, meaning a d10 hit dice. With a level asjustment of +4, do I roll a d10 five times?
