can i activate the effct of "honest" if macrocosmo is face up and active on the field?

Honest's text specifically states that it must be sent from the hand to the graveyard as a cost to activate it's effect, so you cannot activate Honest's effect if Macrocosmos is active on the field.

If the text had read simply "discard this card to..." (like Kuriboh) then you would have been fine.
