Horus Lv4/6 optional???

I was in a Swiss tourney last weekend and finished second overall. In the finals I was told of a ruling about my Horus'.

Situation

My Horus LV 8 was in the graveyard (from a Card Destruction).

Later on I had Horus LV 6 on the field, and then destroyed a monster.

I was told that sacrificing LV 6 was mandatory, even if I didn't have LV 8 in my deck. Thus I was left without a monster.

Is this accurate??

This is why you ask the head judge to look it up and confirm it. It they are unwilling to do that then they are a bad judge IMO. As far as that there is nothing more you could do.

That's almost as bad as the ruling in a Tournament I played in Tuesday where the Judge told my opponent that his BLS could split up his attack after destroying a monster.

You best believe I howled over that one until he looked it up!!!

Rofl, what about any ruling where people say "A Level 4 Judge told me that..." in thier giving of the ruling? Some of those rulings are so bizarre it's scary -- especially since there IS no "Level 4 Judge," a fact that Curtis corrected me on once in responce to a question that I asked on the List. I'm positive the question was never posted -- to my intense relief.

Sorry to depress you, but ur question was posted, and also the response from Curtis... I've got it on my mailbox... it's on the rules archives somewhere, if u care to search it...
