ok here the question:
1:Horus LV6 is on my side of the field.
2:Opponent has a Monster on his field (no matter what kind of monster)
3:Opponent plays and activate his Creature Swap.

My Horus level 6 cannot be target i gues???..So activation is not going to happen and the players Creature Swap is not conducting a Activation on the field. So Creature Swap will be destroyed without activation at all?? or can put back on his side of the field closed?.

Or: and that is my Question: Is Creature swap Conducting Activation and my Horus LV6 can and will be target and the Swap is going trough..

If Horus LV6 is the ONLY monster on your side of the field then Creature Swap cannot be activated. This is because there is no legal target on your side of the field at activation.

If there are more monsters on your side of the field than Horus LV6 then your opponent may activate Creature Swap, however, the monsters for Creature Swap are chosen at resolution so you may chain a card such as Compulsory Evacuation Device on the monster other than Horus LV6 leaving him the only monster on your side of the field and an ineligiable target, in this case, Creature Swap would resolve without effect.

You can liken it to activating Change of Heart when only a face up Mataza the Zapper is your opponent's only monster on the field. There is no legal target, therefore, it's an illegal activation.

I agree with Lzy3, I think it would be activated but destroyed straight away because there is no target, because like has been said monsters are chosen at resolution not activation.

I understand what you're trying to say. But it has already been ruled that cards must have legal "Objects" when activated whether or not it targets them at activation or a choice is made at resolution.

Edited: Replaced the noun "Targets" with "Objects"

It's not about agreement, it'a about fact. John danker is correct, you can't activate a card that requires a legal target if there is any. It's like activating a Change of Heart when there are no monsters on the field at all.

It's sort of like activating Scapegoat when you don't have any space on your field or activating the shallow grave when your opponen't doesn't have any monsters in his/her grave...

Yes, people. But, let's avoid the word "targets" if the card really doesn't target. In this case we should talk about conditions to be met. exiledforcefreak has already shown an example:

You can't activate or resolve Scapegoat if there are not at least 4 free spaces in your Monster Card Zone in both activation and resolution of the effect.

You can't activate or resolve Exchange if any player has not at least 1 card in his/her hand in both activation and resolution of the effect.

You can't activate or resolve Creature Swap if any player has not at least 1 Monster whose control could change and that could be affected by Spell cards in both activation and resolution of the effect.

You can't activate or resolve cards that target if there is no legal target in both activation and resolution of the effect.

Keeping in mind this, everyone shouldn't have a problem if Creature Swap is used with, let's say with Silent Swordsman LV3, because we are not talking about targeting, just about conditions.

Yes, but I included "resolution requirements". Just to specify, nothing else.

EDIT: Buh, the "resolution requirements" are the same "activation requiements" anyway. Thanks for the correction.
