you can negate the activation and effect of any Spell Cards and destroy them.

If a countinous spell card is on the field can Horus LV8 destroy the spell card due to the spell cards effect?

Example Level B already on the field before LV8 comes out.

This is where Silent Swordsman LV7 is a better play. He is like a LV7 "Jinzo", with the effect to negate Spell Cards.
