I'am a new player with Yu-Gi-Oh infact I only been playing for 3 months. I made 2 decks up. I did alot of MTG trading for Yu-Gi-Oh cards so that helped but here are the two decks I made up.

2x Botomless Trap Hole
1x Call of the Haunted
2x Sakuretsu Armor
1x Magic Cylinder

Well this is my Spellcasters Deck.

I'am still a newbie so I need help. If you see anything wrong with my decks let me know and Tell what I should use to replace it.

Well, I can make suggestions on Zombies but please don't ask about spellcasters. Here are some suggestions:

Monsters: 20
3x Pyramid Turtle
3x Vampire Lord
2x Ryu Kokki
2x Regenerating Mummy
3x Spirit Reaper
2x Despair from the Dark
1x Vampire Lady
1x Cyber Jar
1x Magician of Faith
1x Patrician of Darkness
1x Sangan
(you might get rid of the 2 Regenerating Mummy and add 2 Soul Absorbing Bone Tower. I think I would also get rid of the 2 Despair from the Dark. I know that it's a nice card and can actually do some damage but I think maybe going with 18 cards instead of 20 will speed this deck up).

Spells: 14
1x Heavy Storm
1x Mystical Space Typhoon
1x Snatch Steal
1x Brain Control
1x Nobleman of Crossout
1x Dark Core
1x Lightning Vortex
2x Call of the Mummy
2x Card of Safe Return
2x Book of Life
1x Smashing Ground
(here I would add a Card Destruction and maybe a Creature Swap possibly even 2. I like the use of Dark Core here and Lightning Vortex).

Traps:
1x Torrential Tribute
2x Bottomless Trap Hole
2x Compulsory Evacuation Device
1x Call of the Haunted
(nice and simple. Nothing though to protect you from spell/traps. Maybe a Dust Tornado).

Don't let other people convince you that you have to use 40 cards only. There are many examples out there of 45+card decks. Make the deck comfortable for you. Cards like Skill Drain and Shallow Grave can greatly improve a zombie deck. You might think about what type of side deck you want to use with this. The deck looks good. You jst need to tweek it to what works best for your style of dueling.

I hope this helps. If you want any other examples, I have a Zombie deck posted in my signature. Look at it and see if you have any suggestions for me, or take what looks good and throw out the rest.

Good Luck.

oh I almost forgot, a moderator will probably tell you that you posted this in the wrong location. It happens. Just post decks like this in the Advanced Format next time.

Thats true, Deck Check is for Deck ideas that you need help fleshing out. And Advance Format Decks is for suggestions and help on decks you already have constructed. But no harm done. :) I'll move this to the Advance section with a rediect link in Deck Check.

EDIT: Done. ;)

Hello Zenon... Looks like Sirch already took care of your Zombie-Deck. I will try to help a bit with your Spellcasters-Deck.

This is your Deck at the moment (with corrections of the names and a bit split-up):

Tribute Monsters (6x):
1x Cybernetic Magician
1x Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys
2x Dark Magician
1x Dark Magician of Chaos
1x Dark Magician Girl

Non-tribute monsters (14x):
3x Gemini Elf
3x Skilled Dark Magician
2x Apprentice Magician
1x Magician of Faith
1x Breaker the Magical Warrior
1x D. D. Warrior Lady
1x Hand of Nephthys
2x Old Vindictive Magician

Spells (13x):
1x Heavy Storm
1x Mystical Space Typhoon
1x Snatch Steal
1x Brain Control
1x Nobleman of Crossout
1x Dark Core
1x Lightning Vortex
1x Swords of Revealing Light
1x Premature Burial
2x Fissure
1x United We Stand
1x Smashing Ground

Traps (7x):
1x Torrential Tribute
2x Bottomless Trap Hole
1x Call of the Haunted
2x Sakuretsu Armor
1x Magic Cylinder

Not bad at all... at least, the Traps are perfect. Maybe 1 or 2 Magic Jammers will fit in, but that is something I will later will have a look at.
Look's like the theme of your Deck is not only 'just' Spellcasters, but also a bit Dark Magician. In that case, I'd suggest adding 1 Sage's Stone, when you have a Dark Magician Girl on the field.

+1 Sage's Stone

Also an option: 1 Dedication through Light and Darkness, to morph the Dark Magician into Dark Magician of Chaos.

+1 Dedication through Light and Darkness

I don't understand the reason why Phoenix is in here...
When you want to keep them in, go ahead... But when you agree with me, I'd suggest dropping the Phoenix and Hand of Nephthys, and adding in... a extra Breaker the Magical Warrior (1x) and 2x a Pitch-Black Power Stone

Optional:
- 1 Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys
- 1 Hand of Nephthys
+ 1 Breaker the Magical Warrior
+ 2 Pitch-Black Power Stone

That was already about the Monster Part, and a bit about the S/T-part. It is probably a idea to drop the Fissures. They can be helpfull... But there are MUCH monsters today who laugh at the sight of them.

- 2 Fissure

So your Deck would then look like this (with the optional changes included):

Tribute Monsters (5x):
1x Cybernetic Magician
2x Dark Magician
1x Dark Magician of Chaos
1x Dark Magician Girl

Non-tribute monsters (14x):
3x Gemini Elf
3x Skilled Dark Magician
2x Apprentice Magician
1x Magician of Faith
2x Breaker the Magical Warrior
1x D. D. Warrior Lady
2x Old Vindictive Magician

Spells (13x):
1x Heavy Storm
1x Mystical Space Typhoon
1x Snatch Steal
1x Brain Control
1x Nobleman of Crossout
1x Dark Core
1x Lightning Vortex
1x Swords of Revealing Light
1x Premature Burial
1x United We Stand
1x Smashing Ground
1x Sage's Stone
1x Dedication through Light and Darkness

Traps (9x):
1x Torrential Tribute
2x Bottomless Trap Hole
1x Call of the Haunted
2x Sakuretsu Armor
1x Magic Cylinder
2x Pitch-Black Power Stone

I hope I helped you with this.
Greetings,
BenjaminMS

I agree with Sirch for the most part on the zombies. Check out my Zombie Control deck to see how mine works. If you want to try out that design, go ahead, just need to tweak it for 10/1 ban.

Like I said, there are alot of good zombie decks out there. Take advantage of them. The zombie control deck looks interesting. Give it a try or even the Skill Drain decks. As John Danker said to me once, "build a deck and try it out for a while. See what needs to be done and then keep playing it until you're sick of it." That way you'll really know if it works or not.

I agree with the "playing with a deck till your sick of it" philosophy. Too often players buuild a deck thats pretty solid, maybe it only needs a few tweaks, but they loose one duel and completely redesign the whole thing. After one duel! Your really not going to get a feel for your deck unless you let yourself loose with it a few times. Learning where your deck is weak will help you to decid what to change. But if you completely change the deck after each and every single loss you'll get nowhere. It's always better to become familiar with your decks synergy before you start "re-building the bridge", as it were.

Thx for your help and I will add in some new stuff to the decks that with help me out. I know that playtesting is the best way to build your deck up something I learn from MTG playing and I know what you meen about people changing there decks afther just one game lose with it. I seen it done alot of times. As for me. I just wish I had a bigger card pool but I think i'am of to a good start.
