info on cannon soldier

I'm just basically looking to find out if you can use cannon soldier's effect more than once per turn or if it is restricted to once per turn. thanks!

You can use Cannon Soldier's effect as many times as you have monsters on the field. You can even tribute cannon soldier itself for its effect.

That's why if you have cannon soldier on the field you can use scapegoat and sac all 4 sheep tokens to inflict 2000 LP. (Just remember you can't summon cannon soldier and play scapegoat in the same turn--scapegoat's effect.

what if you do, Cannon soldier then play 1 scapegoats, then launch, then play another goats, then launch then play 2 sheep tokens.

would that lead to a 6000lp take off?

That wouldn't be legal. The first Scapegoat card would prevent the activation of the second Scapegoat card.

Scapegoat says " Place 4 "Sheep Tokens" ", placing would not mean summoning (as 'picking up cards' does not equal 'drawing'). At least, in my perspective.

And uhm, how can Scapegoat prevent the summoning of a monster, if the card is activated after said summoning? This is a very highly discussable point.

scapegoats effect:
When this card is activated, you cannot summon any monster in the same turn (including Flip Summon and Special Summon). Place 4 "Sheep Tokens" (Beast-Type/EARTH/1 Star/ATK 0/DEF 0) in Defense Position on your side of the field. The tokens cannot be used as a Tribute for a Tribute Summon.

I hope this clears up everything. You cant even summon a monster before sacpegoat is summoned. But you can still set a monster.

If you really wanted to pull it off. You could set cannon soldier, activate scapegoat, then use Book of Taiyou to get Cannon Soldier face up for tributing.

In spite of the word used, placing tokens on the field is Special Summoning them. It was a poor choice of words, but Sheep Tokens are Special Summoned.
