I am one of many adults who has the same reaction when I see something like the Teletubbies or Barney. I go on a murderous rampage, usually ending up involving a S.W.A.T Team, a clock tower and many, many tranquilizer darts. And lets not even talk about the Wiggles. :shudder

But I came across this PBS show, and it's something I would actually watch with my daughter. Actually, it appears I'm the only one interested it at the moment. She's currently more content to gnaw on her dress and stare at the playmats where she had her therapy today. But I digress.

The show is called It's a Big, Big World. It seems to take place in the African Jungle, and the effects are very high tech and very cool. And the music harkens back to the classic days of Sesame Street, when the music was something everybody could listen to and enjoy. I found a website to it, but it really doesn't do the show justice, as they have all the wrong clips available. They just did a rendition of Dem Bones that almost made fall off the sofa. It was great.

Your daughter has such a cool name.

I wish my parents had named me something less ... normal. You know, it would suit me better if it were, I don't know, the Latin word for "Unusual" or something.

Oh, yeah, the topic. Well I don't think I get PBS. I never watch TV unless it's Monk or the Twilight Zone anyway. But yeah, the effects are cool ... say, how do they do that, anyway?
