So I was playing Dual Academy not too long ago. I have Embodiment of Apothis on the field. The computer summons Jinzo and all hell breaks loose. Jinzo negates Apothis and turns his monster token into another trap card, which is then negated and jumps to the next available space in the spell & trap card zone and is negated again.

Later on Jinzo is destroyed thus unnegating apothis. However it's monster token form is still trapped in the spell & trap card zone, and even when all my spell & trap cards are destroyed by Heavy Storm or Harpie's Feather Duster etc. etc. the original Apothis trap card is stuck on the field.

Is this a bug, or one screwed up game mechanic?

P.S. I know i didn't mention Royal Decree in this, but I think the same problem would've occurred.

Duel Acadamy treats Embodiment of Apophis as a token? Yikes!

Part of that is still techncally correct, though. When Apophis is negated by Jinzo or Decree he reverts to a Trap Card in the Spell/Trap Zone. But, there shouldn't have been a token. He should have physically moved to a Monster Card Zone once activated and somehow had a representation in the Spell/Trap Zone. Then when negated he moves back and stays there even when Jinzo or Royal Decree are removed from the field.

I understand that they were trying to figure out a way to put a card in both zones, but how hard would it have been to write up a special code for the one card? Look at the problems it ended up creating by "redefining" the effect.
