Question 7 was the toughest for me:
What ONE card on the Limited List would you like to see eased to Semi-Limited, or taken of the list?
- Dark Magician of Chaos
- Future Fusion
- Metamorphosis
- Last Will
- Limiter Removal
- Night Assailant
 
<nodding> Yeah that was the tough one for me as well. They're all on the list for good reason. I guess if there was one I'd have to say I don't see as being paticularly advantagous to either player unless the deck is built around it...and given this paticular format....I'd have to say Cyber Jar.
 
to me it was kinda easy cuz i thought book of moon wasn't as big a threat, since the cards that people used it with to get book of moon to one r banned or limited
 
My answers were odd, as one might expect from me.

ONE card I'd like to see forbidden: Torrential Tribute
ONE card I'd like to see never forbidden: Witch of the Black Forest
ONE card I'd like to see semi or not at all: Book of Moon

OK, Book of Moon is pretty standard, but I don't expect many people would agree with me on the other two answers. I can provide my reasoning if requested
 
What I wanted Forbidden: Cyber Stein. It accelerates the game way too much and has caused a lot of frustration in tournaments.

What I want back: Dark Hole. Torrential Tribute and Mirror Force are not enough. Both can be dealt with pretty easily without being set off and when both are gone, and when the opponent has card/field advantage, there is almost no way to make a comeback. Allowing Dark Hole to accompany these two would mean that players won't go overly aggressive.

What I wanted to be semi restricted: Metamorphosis. Turn 2 Balters will suck, but there's still the rest of the Fusion deck to act as a toolbox. Cyber Twin, King Dragun, Last Warrior, Ryu Senshi, Dark Blade, Ojama King etc. Since TER is banned, Meta to 2 shouldn't be a big problem.

That's not odd. Many were saying Book of Moon, and I was thinking Ring of Destruction myself. LL-AB is different, but not that off kilter. Sorry, gotta try harder next time.
 
Banned: Ring of Destruction
Protected: Metamorphosis (only because so many cards would be nearly useless without it)
Unrestricted: Last Will DANGIT!!! *complains*

Mr. Brehm, I'd be interested in hearing your reasoning on Witch, particularly since I agree that it should not be banned.

lol I said Semi Torrential Tribute!! Yes, Im a mad man, but I like total devastation!!!
 
banned - return from the different dimension (can make or break almost any game)
protected - breaker (cuz its good and i love the card)
semi/unrestricted - book of moon (look at my first reply)
 
I think even I'll get in on this.

Banned: Creature Swap (...Because I can.)
Protected: Jinzo (I gotta protect my "Zoe".)
Semi/Unrestricted: Scapegoat (With TER gone and Metamorphosis to one, it's kinda a no-brainer to me.)

okay .... here's my thing about Witch of the Black Forest.

While I understand that we've got more than a few "bad" cards with a DEF of 1500 or less (note "bad" in quotes), I think the loss we took without Witch far outweighs that. I think there are a lot more possibilities for successful (and FUN) decks with her back in the fold.

Many decks are still overly challenged with this new list, and IMO Witch levels the playing field far more than it hurts it. And that's what the list is supposed to be for, right?

Pop into RONIN and filter your way into all Regular Effect monsters with an ATK > 1500 (meaning no Sangan) and a DEF <= 1500 ... remember some of those? Granted, you'll see some cards you probably don't want so easily searchable, but personally I think it's worth it. By a long shot.

At minimum, I think we need a very similar card if we're never going to see Witch herself again.

And if anyone's interested, the reason I would ban Torrential Tribute is that it hinders too many of the newer card effects and continues to hold Fusions and Rituals out of the limelight. I'm OK with Mirror Force (you need to be attacked), I'm OK with Dark Hole (your opponent can't hit you on your turn), I'm even OK with Bottomless Trap Hole (only nukes one monster). I'm not OK with working so bloody hard to get a monster out just to have the entire field wiped clean before you can even use it. It's a pure luck card with almost no penalties and I'm just not a huge fan of those effects.

All just my opinions. No need to argue with me if you disagree :D
 
Banned: metamorphosis
Protected: Gravity Bind
Semi/Unrestricted: Thousand Eyes Restrict

Reasons:
Metamorphosis is just too easy. If you really want to use fusion monsters, do it properly! Run a deck based on them! It isnt as if there isnt the support for fusions, especially now.

Gravity Bind is fairly easy to get past- Jinzo, wildheart and royal decree are common in most decks, and there are lots of fairly decent 3 star monsters available. But stall is really useful for some decks, and if people dont like that, then that is what side decks are for.

TER: Of course, this means that TER could go back to being unrestricted, as the only people who would play it would be those who would be those who would run it as a deck theme, rather than splashing it soley as tech.
