I know this deck may seem rather out of the ordinary and a lot of you may think I'm crazy by building a deck like this but I think this can really go somewhere. Out of the Kurenai/Fire monster possabilities there is no stronger monster than Ultimate Obedient Fiend. Flame Ruler simplifies the process of bringing him out and helps ease the number of tributes necessary for him. Of course Gaia helps as well because not only do you get the piercing bonus but you can also use Kurenai at the end since he will be leaving the field anyway and leave the opponent with 2000 damage. Solar Flare helps add to the burn, UFO Turtle helps to speed things up as well as Sangan. Inpachi gives a little backup muscle and MoD keeps the Kurenai in rotation to keep burning. The reason I packed so many Sakuretsu and Waboku is for stall purposes and to basically annoy the opponent and if necessary give me time to setup an UOF for a major burn. HOWEVER, any ideas are greatly welcome!!! Thanks ahead of time!

If I did put in Soul Exchange what cards would you recommend substituting them for?

Keep the comments/suggestions coming!!! I'm hoping this deck will really go somewhere and do some damage.

Now I've never played burn, nor have I played against burn (I just now noticed that), but I think this deck looks incredible. Nice burn with an original twist.

I fear the 3x Ultimate Obedient Fiend may be a tad too much, but again I'm no expert. Maybe 1 of those could be replaced by a Soul Exchange, if you're looking to do that.

These are all great suggestions, I definitely did not think of Level Conversion Lab. I just hate having to deal with the dice just because I don't have the greatest of luck with them! :D

Skill Drain would be a good idea. It would not interfere too much with the other cards. I would still get the benefits of Flame Ruler, UFO Turtle, and MoD provided it is flipped from an attack. So I'll do this for now.

-1 Barrel Behind the Door
+1 Skill Drain

I'm thinking of maybe dropping Dark Hole and Lightning Vortex. I don't think I would need as much clearing power in the deck since Kurenai is going to pound things through their defences. What do you all think?

thats right. DJ is so onto it. Spritual art's usually have that one monster which the card works with the most.

for fire the best one is Gia soul, since itll die anyways, and Thestalos because its hand control plain and simple.

now using the big fiend. man, you need to use alot of Soul Exchange and ways to summon it with out using alot of resources since, basically your hand will not be that good. i mean size not that itll have junk or dead wheight cards, its just youll want to wait often with using certain cards and so forth.

but over all i think 3x thestalos, 3x Gias and Soul Exchange can be worth it :)

yes true, but look at how many cards your putting into waste.

1 golem, 1 Soul Exchange and 1 kurenai.

of course it measn 3000, but you downgraded your hand 2 cards and you lost that one trap card which you wont be able to get back the next draw, and then come next draw you wont want it to be drawn if you have nothing to back it up.

its why thestalos is good, because it its a 2 for 2 trade off.

you lose 2 cards they lose 1 on the field and 1 in their hand and if they torrental tribute then you can still chain that kurenai to make it even more worth wild.

if they pull a monster thats basically 2400 + ?? if you dont, then they still have 1 less card and both players did a 3 for 3 trade off.

of course, with the new way the game is played hand management (unless you go opposite) is the one thing you have look out the most. if you trash your hand in the beggining, expect to just plain out lose a few turns after, of course this is if you dont do a OTK, if you do, then what does it matter you won.

krazy - I know what you mean, it is just a matter of me being able to pick up 2 more thestalos. I'm hoping that Flame Ruler will help ease the tributes on obedient since he is a 2-for-1 tribute on fire monsters. I also can't make up my mind between Soul Exchange or running Level Conversion Lab to help out as well. you have any ideas?

You forgot to mention that you also got rid of 2 monsters on your opponent's field and given them a 1000LP burning per turn. Lava Golem is one of the better and more interesting burn/fire monsters out there with decent damage and monster removal in the one package.

I admit it's a situational combo but all combos are situational anyway.

Lava Golem also rocks hard with Dimension Wall and Magic Cylinder. If you want to play a different fire monster, Lava Golem is a very viable alternative.

see thats the thing, while yes they do lose 2 monster and the possibility of them loosing 1000 means that you wouldnt be able to do the Soul Exchange combo, since you can only activate Soul Exchange during your turn.

nor can you use spiritual fire art on it since its not your monster

and since you decided to do 1k damage instead of 1000, you leave your self opponent to a sock in the face.

with the 2-3 decree's flying around in most peoples chaos decks not to mention Jinzo, means that alot of the traps will become useless unless you make them usefull.

in this deck basically the damage is what makes it happen, not to mention thestalos is way better, 1000 over 2400i i think the 2400i is much better and you dont get hurt in the long run.

Royal Decree and Jinzo is not going to stop people from playing traps. 2-3 cards out of 40 can be dealt with, it's not the end of the world. True/innovative players would have the guts to play more than 6/7 traps that Cookie Cutters restrict to.

Thestalos is also good, I never said it wasn't. But Lava Golem has its merits: guaranteed monster removal (unless your opponent uses Mask of Restrict), constant LP burn and also insane damage potential when comboed with Magic Cylinder, Dimension Wall and Kurenai. As you say, damage is everything in this deck, and Lava Golem fits the bill.

yes, the comibnation is there, but like i said its the number of resources your spend and the lack of speed that kills it. not neceserally. but in the end its a matter of preferance, right?

no the 4 cards used to negate traps wont make it possible for people to stop playing traps, but a trap heavy deck gets hurt fairly easy and quickly.

id say, if your going to add the golem, atleast for protection use a level limit area B.

i dont know, but the fact that you can always get your cylinders / Dimension Wall negated hurts.

I have been working on the revisions for a bit and I'm hoping this will help address some of the issues the deck may have! Right now the side deck is more experimental and definitely needs some testing to see how it plays out and works into the main deck. I'm trying to address some of the issues such as the deck being trap heavy by adding in cards like Double Snare, 7 Tools, and Royal Surrender to take care of threats like Royal Decree and Jinzo.

I also threw in Lava Golem and Creature Swap in case I wanted to switch things up but still be able to try and keep the same aspect. Again, this also depends on how things play test and of course your comments and suggestions. I would like to thank everyone that has commented so far, your help has been great! :D
