Kurogane questions

There is a lack of kurogane rulings.

If a monster is targeted and I use kurogane to tribute the targeted monster, is the effect negated?

For example, I attack with one of my earth monsters, my opponent flips up sakuretsu, and I chain with kurogane to tribute the attacking monster, does sakuretsu gets negated and the new born monster survive and get to attack?

I would have to say it depends on if the effect in question targets or not.

For you example, then yes, the effect of "Sakuretsu Armor" would 'Disappear', so to speak, since the monster it targetted was no longer on the field at the resolution of it's effect.

If it was something like "Widespread Ruin" and the monster you summoned with "Kurogane" was still the highest ATK monster on your side of the field, then no, the effect would still resolve and destroy the newly summoned monster.
