I have a few questions that came up in a local tournament today.

1) Can you use Lady in Whites effect to special summon her to the field from you hand during your battle phase?

2) if a player has lord of d on the field and his opponent plays creature swap, does that swap the dragon type monster to the oppoenent

Sorry, but I dont think I can give you the ruling for "Lady in Whites" effect because I do not know the effect, but I'm pretty sure it's not a Yu-Gi-Oh! card. My bad LoL :)

The monsters are selected when Creature Swap resolves. Both Players choose 1 of there "own" monsters that they currently control at resolution to be "switched" to the opponent. Also, note that the effect of Creature Swap does not "target" so the effect of Lord of D. cannot be applied.

Sorry i must have got the name wrong, cant remember what it is and i dont have any way to look up the name. Anyway the effect is that you can remove a card from the graveyard to special summon it from your hand.

as far as Creature Swap thats what i told the players.

I don't know what the lady in white is, but all special summons by removing from play a monster in graveyard cannot be summoned this way during the battle phase.

Anyway, for your 2nd question, player b can chose whichever creature to swap with his opponent, be it the lord of d or a bewd (not a wise choice though) since creature swap isn't targeting.

okay. but can any monsters effect special summon from you hand during battle phase or is it strictly trap and quick plays that can perfrom that action?

Effects as such should be stated so, monsters summons can only occur during Main Phase 1, Main Phase 2 that is controlled by using effects of cards or simply performing Normal Summons, Sets, etc.

Familiar Knight, as when it is destroyed in battle, both players Special Summon a monster of Level 4 perspective hands.

Effects such as Soul of Purity and Light, which have Special Summon requirements, cannot be Special Summoned during the Battle Phase with the effects text printed on the card, only Main Phase 1 and 2.
