Legendary Fisherman & Command Knight

If I recall, the ruling on legendary fisherman was that if UMI was on the field, and this was the only monster card my opponent had, then I could attack their life points directly. Is this correct? Could someone point me to the current ruling?

If this is correct, then can someone explain to me why Command Knight (or soul-absorbing bone tower for that matter) do not work that way? If you have two command knights on the field, and that's all, your opponent cannot attack. Correct?

Consider it a mistranslation.. perhaps a more accurate way of understanding command's knight's effect would be saying "your opponent must attack another monster"

Legendary Fisherman (your oppoentn may attack directly)
same with Guardian Kay-est

2 solar flare dragons/ 2 command knights your opponent can not attack either because both are telling you to attack another monster.

This would fall under the 'Konami Said So' ruling. You are correct about The Legendary Fisherman and Umi. If TLF is the only monster on the field and Umi is active, the opponent may attack directly.

For Command Knight, you may not attack directly if there are only two Command Knights on the field. This *may* be because Command Knight references another monster on the field. But there has been little clarification on this point.

The reason WHY Command Knight does what it does in regards to not allowing double attacks is not clarified in that thread. All that is known is that it works that way.
