Horus the black flame dragon lv6, says: This card is unefected by magic cards. So Does this mean that you can't play level up on it??? I mean level up! has got the Horus dragon on there. :| :|

Hey there Aqua !!!

Yes, you can play Level Up! on the Level 6 Horus Dragon.

The reason is because when you activate Level Up!...you MUST send the Level 6 Horus Dragon to the graveyard as part of the activation cost.

So, you activate Level Up!, send the Level 6 Horus into the graveyard (now he's off the field, so this works) and bring out your Level 8 Horus. (and hopefully it won't get Bottomless Trap Holed...like mine did )

Hope that helps.

From the UDE FAQ, under Horus LV6:

You can activate "Level Up!" and send "Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV 6" to the Graveyard to Special Summon "Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV 8" because sending 1 monster to the Graveyard is a cost for "Level Up!" and if a card is unaffected by Spell Cards, that only refers to effects, not to costs.

So you say that Level up! dosn't deignate a monster it just lets you send any monster to the grave. as if you werent doing it for level up! but for a tribe.

The card text of Level Up!:

Send 1 face-up monster on your side of the field that has "LV" in its card name to the Graveyard to activate this card. Special Summon the monster that is written in the card text of that monster from your hand or Deck, ignoring the Summoning conditions.

The text of Horus LV6:

As long as this card remains face-up on your side of the field, it is unaffected by any Spell Cards. During the End Phase of a turn that this card destroyed a monster as a result of battle, send this card to the Graveyard to Special Summon 1 "Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV8" from your hand or Deck.

I'm not sure what your last question is. If by "tribe" you mean "tribute", then feel free to tribute Horus LV6 to normal summon/set a monster. Level Up! will not replace the tribute required to summon higher level monsters.

I hope this helps.

Hey just curious now. If level up's text of sending a monster to the grave is considered a cost, does that mean if someone magic jams or in the case of a traditional duel, imperial order, do you still have to send the monster to the grave considering these trap cards have never negated the activation (cost) of the spell cards?

Its still a cost for activation (which they cannot negate until you activate).  Since there are no refunds for cost if the card is negated, you still have to send to the Graveyard.
