limiter removal during the dammage step and book of moon

the battle phase is very complicated when you use some cards like mirror wall or limiter removal

if i attack with jinzo i must say i begin my battle phase , i enter battle step , jinzo will attack your life point directly ( my oponent has no monster) my oponent says nothing then i enter dammage step i activate limiter removal and my oponent takes 4800 of dammage

it's seems very long but since i play a machine deck, it's seems i must do that , and still , a friend of mine says he can chain my limiter with a book of moon
please tell me if he can do that and if i must anounce every step of the battle phase

I don't think your opponent can chain Book of Moon because only quickspells and traps that modify monster's ATK and DEF stat can be activated during Damage Step.

It is better to use it in Damage Step, than Battle Step.

Book of Moon would not be able to activate in the Damage Step.

What you did was perfectly legal, and personally, I think, the correct way to play.

It may take a bit longer to say each step, but it makes it VERY clear where the game state is, and would eliminate confusion (or cause more for some...).

If your opponent wanted to Book of Moon, they would have to do it before the Damage Step, which would allow you to save your Limiter (and your Jinzo) for another attack...

By announcing the changes in each phase, you could also "fake out" your opponent; making them use a Book of Moon to prevent the "possibility" of you playing a Limiter you may or may not have...always fun...

hi,

the question i have in this situation is,
we all know that i can activate for example an mst, if my opponent wants to change his phase.
"i want to go into my main phase 1"
"ok than i want to activate my mst in the end of your standby phase on your f/d"

does the same counts for the battle steps?
for example:
me: "i attack with my jinzo directly"
opp: "no respons"
me: "i want to change from my battle step into my damage step"
opp: "i want to activate my BoM in the end of your battle step"

is this a legal move?

No, after declaring the attack, and both players don't respond, you immediatly go into the Damage Step.

Actually, Cha, first there is priority to respond to the attack declaration, then if both players pass, there is still normal turn priority ("last event" is set to "none"; can activate Speed 1 effects such as Spirit Ryu). THEN if both players pass, the step ends.
