Limiter Removal

Ok, so this may seem like a n00b question but I think this could go either way. I've probably just over thought it.

I'll just give an example

[Jinzo] is equipped with Heavy-Mech Support Platform. During the turn Limiter Removal is activated. At the end of the turn Heavy-Mech Support Platform takes the destruction for [Jinzo]. While [Jinzo] is still on the field will his attack remain doubled?

Reasoning for both:
1) It stays doubled:
The effect on Limiter Removal does not say the effect only lasts for one turn. Therefore, if the monster is not destroyed the boost will still apply.

2) It goes back to normal:
The resolution of Limiter Removal at the end of the turn means that in fact the attack will return to normal, regardless of Limiter Removal not saying the effect only lasts for the remainder of the turn.

player A have a Perfect Machine King face up with a heavy mech support
platform equipped to him and no other monsters on the field (3200 atk
Perfect Machine King) Player A then activates Limiter Removal, making his
Perfect Machine King a 6400 atk. at the end of the turn Heavy mech is
destroyed instead of Perfect Machine King, but would Perfect Machine King's
atk stay at 6400 or would it go back down to 2700?

Thanks in advance

Answer:

It's ATK will remain at 6400.

Yup, I've been impressd by your response time today. I'm at work and we have an OC12 direct to our floor with the bandwidth of an OC3 to my area. If I wasn't soooo busy here, I'd be posting responses BEFORE they finished asking the questions...lol!

Limiter Removal behavior is one card I've never understood. A "limiter" in a machine is something that prevents the machine from doing the best it can, usually put in there to prevent a machine from overheating/wearing out/destroying itself. What I never understood was how you can remove a limiter more than once (playing Limiter Removal twice on the same machine). No response needed, I just think the card should originally have been "The ATK of the monster becomes twice the original ATK." which would have fit what it is supposed to be emulating in real life. Real life, Yugioh definitely is not :)

Well, you can inject Nitro Fuel to your car's engine to make it faster, but it will degrade your engine's life exponentially. "Limiter Removal" is like Nitro Fuel in this case.

Blank Stare.

Ok.

Never tried Nitro.

So instead of limiter removal, the card should be "Nitro boost" :)

So if you inject twice as much Nitro over the same time frame, you get even more boost?

LOL!. I'm no expert in Nitro and Racing car, but I did saw it in "Fast and the Furious" movie. One guy pressed one button and his card accelerated faster. Then the other guy pressed 2 buttons, and he accelerated faster than the first guy. So, maybe 2 Nitros is better than one. I just don't have any clue. LOL!

If I understand it correctly the Nitro acts as an oxidiser in the fuel mix and so causes it to burn more rapidly and efficiently (more CO2, less CO) and so you get a lot more energy released per unit time.
