Player A has a face-up spellcaster on his/her side of the field.
Player B has a face-down monster and no spell/trap cards.
Player A activates Magical Dimension and sacrifices his/her face-up spellcaster for a Dark Magician of Chaos, and targets Player B's face-down monster.
Player B flips up a Big Shield Guardna.
Would Magical Dimension be totally negated or would the part of the destruction of the monster card be negated. If Magical Dimension is totally negated, would Player A's Dark Magician of Chaos also be destroyed. This came up when my friend and I were playtesting for tournaments this weekend. I'm running a spellcaster deck that I built last weekend.
