Metalsilver Armor + Traps

Reading Metalsilver Armor implies that my opponent loses the ability to make use of Trap Hole as they cannot target a monster other than the equipped monster. As Trap Hole targets the summoned monster it would be an invalid play, so they just cannot do it.

Clearly the summoned monster could still be taken out with Bottomless Trap Hole, but everything helps eh?

Have I read this right?

Yea, that's right.

Yup, Bottomless Trap Hole can be activated in response to a summoned monster of 1500 ATK or higher because it does not designate a target, regardless or Metalsilver Armor since it only to effects that target.
