More than likely, its a printing error comparable to using a Cash Regisiter without any paper for the receipt. The machine will attempt to punch out the card name, but it wasn't set to enough pressure to cut through the card face, and was only able to stamp the name itself.

I have a Silent Swordsman LV5(Secret Rare) that looks like that. Nice shiny art, but no title. If you tilt the card you can see the indentation from where it was struck, they just didn't load the shiny ink.

wow i would love it if i had a box full of misprints but that's me. i also have a misprint ring of d. where the name is over the part where it says trap card and i love that card:D

Surely, someone on eBay would be interested in something like this for some inflated sum of money... :-:

huh - really? -i was more worried we might not be able to use them at a regionals type tournament...we thought they'd be neat...kind of a novelty...a guy who watched us open them asked if i wanted to trade...i was wanting an enemy controller -upon looking thru his trades i found an ult dekoichi, a holo ec and a gold letter ec.. put them on the tabl and asked "any one for the lot?" he of course picked up his trades without a word...i was afraid i'd insulted him...but we ended up dueling for quite a while that afternoon - turned out to be a nice guy & really good duelist & judge as it turned out - i got schooled by his e-hero deck! a lot of fun but i never brought up a trade again which wasthe chain of events that made me think they werent really worth anything....

Well, they pretty much aren't going to increase in value. They are just missing the lettering, and that isnt anything special at all.

I have a Two-Mouth Darkruler that has "Dinosaur" for its sub-type-in stead of Dragon--or some such thing. Now that is a mis-print.

<side note> Of course that card always confued me, because it looks exactly like Twin Headed thunder Dragon, which looks nothing like Thunder Dragon. Ahhh, Yugioh, the early years.

I would think any sort of misprint is much harder to get than an original version and would therefore go for a higher price. Some people would consider them collectibles, even if they aren't tournament playable.

Misprint, yes. Missing ink, no.

Besides the fact that they are not OFFICIALLY worth anything more.....they have no greater book value. But a collector might want it for the possibility of it being unique, or in small quantity.

Has anyone gotten a white card? About 2-3 years ago a kid here pulled a Graceful Charity from the starter deck that was blank. No picture or anything. The only thing you could see was the indention of the name.

Now THAT is something to brag about........

I've never heard of such a thing......but I would never play OR show that to anyone.....unless I showed it then put it away immediately.....THAT is unique.

They are worth something to collector's, any type of misprint. These are common misprints though. For some reason DB packs have them a lot. What happens is a miscalibration. The previous or following card gets the shiny name (the wrong one) That's how I got a mystic tomato who's name is Fiber Jar (Rare) and a black pendant with Jowgen the spiritualist written on it. As was said here, you'll fetch something for it on ebay, but it is pretty rude suggesting a trade for one to a player for a really good card. What is a player going to do with it ?

And BTW, this was asked several times, these cards are playable in a tournament.

i did NOT offer 1 for 1 trade....i said any 1 (dekoichi or an enemy controller) for the lot ( all 18 misprints ) and got no response...other than picking up his trades... - i was thinking that at MOST they might be a $1 each...or 18 for all - about = to an enemy controller or ult dekoichi on ebay...and i was still afraid i'd insulted him....

The one misprint that I remember that I have is the first(?) one from LOB when they released the SCR Gaia the Dragon Champion with UR lettering (gold print).
