Can Barrel Behind the Door be chained to the effect of Mist Archfiend during the End Phase if it is summoned without tribute?

Sure. You can do it for Giant Kozaky, so I can't think of a reason why you couldn't here either.

The effect 'appears' to be a Triggered Effect. As such, I would 'assume' it would use the chain.

If presented with this question at a tournament, I would have to say yes, you could chain with "Barrel Behind the Door".

Except that Ohka doesn't have a second effect of dealing 1000 LP damage at the end phase when it's destroyed because it was summoned w/o tribute. I was concerned about the timing issue and whether Barrel is appropriate for activation and re-directing damage. Now I know I can add it to my Darkworld deck.

Right, it's Ouka, but with damage. Instead of "destroy this card", it's "destroy this card and take damage".
