More LnDD questions

1) let's say my Light and Darkness Dragon is on the field with 800/400 (so he cannot negate anything), and then at some stage Skill Drain is activated and resolved.
a) Will his ATK/DEF be reset to 2800/2400?
b) If a) is yes, would his ATK/DEF remain at 2800/2400 if Skill Drain leave the field?

2) Just out of Curiosity, why is Vampire Lord's ruling regarding being destroyed while as an Equip card is different from Light and Darkness Dragon's counterpart? I don't see any difference in the scenarios unless the 'Destroyed by card effect' is the one that causes trouble.

I'd have to say the old ruling would stand for Light and Darkness Dragon as well.

When a monster's ATK or DEF are changed by its own effect, like "Slate Warrior" or "Berserk Dragon", and "Skill Drain" is activated, that monster's effect is negated and the ATK/DEF are returned to normal. Even if "Skill Drain" is then destroyed, the old adjustment to ATK/DEF does not come back. Any bonuses or penalties are lost when "Skill Drain" effect is applied, and you have to start over from the beginning.​

So far, I haven't seen anything that would make the Dragon contradict that. So far...

The second one I'm not familiar with. I'm sure someone will get it, though.

For the second question, my only guess is that we have an erroneous translation (for "Vampire Lord") that doesn't quite fit how the card is supposed to work.

Other than that, it's a BKSS...
