I'm currently working on a sidedeck, but I think I'll finalize that after I get some feedback on the actual deck. I'm open to any kind of constructive critisizm - Thanks in advance!

its big so it will play erratically, imo, at times draws will be ok - and at others horrible - as with any deck- its trying to do an awful lot at once....play it and see what your success/failures are like

just thought i'd mention - a 50 card gadget deck took 17th place at sjc....so much for my opinion huh??? :D

lol ok - I don't have a lot of opportunity to play at all, so that's kinda a probelm for testing it out. I thought there was something on this site for letting me play my decks to test them. Care to inform me?

And about your comment, did you mean that larger decks just simply aren't good? I'm not very experienced in advanced play, so a 50 card deck making 17th place doesn't have a lot of meaning to me - sorry

Well, here is a for instance....you have 1 Incandescent Ordeal and 1 Legendary Flame Lord. You need both in your hand in order to use them, right? Well, with 60 cards to sift through, what are the odds of getting them both in your hand at the same time? More over, if you are top decking (having no cards in your hand and working iwth whatever you draw off the top), how bad will it be to pick one or the other up? It becomes a dead draw.

Let's lose the Dark Eradicator Warlock (low ATK, hard to get out and not that great of an effect unless you are focussing on a Spell Reproduction Burn theme, and even then difficult to pull off- besides, you only have 6 Normal Spell cards anyway).

You have a boat load of fiends...any reason? I would scrap all your fiends except Sangan. We can replace them with better if needed.

Also, we're going to max out your Magical Dimensions, as you can abuse the snot out of them. We will need to deside whether you want to go with Ritual or Equip (ala Maha Vailo) as your seconday strategy. Add a Dark Magician of Chaos (if you can get ahold of one $$-the cost has gone down quite a bit).

Lose the Deal of Phantom...if you need a Trap power boost, Use Blast with Chain (it's anti-Mobius and makes heavy Storm pay).

Add Old Vindictive Magician and another Skilled Dark Magician.

More paring down and building up later....got to get some work done.

Ok yea, I see what you mean with the Legendray Flame Lord - I guess he looked cool, so I put him in (no thought involved). I'll take out Dark Eradicator and Deal of Phantom too.

My reason for the fiends was to have another type of monster that would beneift from Yami, and provide some variety in monsters. Have a deck of nothing but spellcaters seems like backing yourself into a corner if your opponent finds a way to dissable them - unless I'm imagining things and there is no way to do that, but I'd expect there is. And I really don't have that many - only 8 - compared to my spellcasters anyways.

If I'm going to max out Magical Dimensions, should I also try to get a few more high attack spellcasters in there? Just so that I'm not summoning a spellcaster with the same kind of power as the tribute just so I can destroy a monster. For a secondary stragedgy, I'd have to go with equip for now b/c I don't have any good Rituals. Reliquished yea, but that's it. I'd love to get a Dark Magician of Chaos, but its not a top priority, so he'll have to wait. Skilled Dark Magician is obvious, but I only have 2 right now.

I guess I was never really fond of the idea of having a single stradegy deck. I think I was going for a deck that could somehow stand on its own without any definable stradegy. I don't know if such a thing exists, and looking at my deck, I guess you could say its spell counter, or just plain spell card based.

You ever heard of IM and SMS dueling? Whenever DIGICEL, one of our service providers gives us a whole day of 1 cent SMS, then we SMS duel, all you have to do is pretend you have an opponent in front of you, when in fact he/she/it is somewhere else doing the same thing. You just have to count on honesty i guess...we do it every so often. The same principle goes for IM, like with GooGle Talk, MSN messenger, yahoo messenger and various other chat programs and chat rooms, esp. where you can create your own room, like Ares, and you can send your deck list across so that your opponent gets a feel for what he/she/it is dueling against. So if you ever want to try it out, look me up at either:
valleyoftheshadowofdeath@gmail.com (google talk)
or
jaga_tekno@hotmail.com (MSN messenger)

Ok, cool, just thought any suggestions would help...
ps. it also takes less time to load than online dueling.
