Mystic Swordsman LV4 + Marauding Captain + Book of Moon.

The Cards:

Marauding Captain: As long as this monster remains face up on the field, Your opponent cannot select another warrior type monster on your side of the field as an attack target.When this monster is normal summoned successfully, you can special summon1 level4 or lower monster from your hand.

Mystic Swordsman LV4:If you Normal Summon this card, you must place it in face-down Defense Position. If this card attacks a face-down Defense Position monster, destroy the monster immediately with this card's effect without flipping it face-up or applying damage calculation. During the End Phase of a turn that this card destroyed a monster as a result of battle, send this card to the Graveyard to Special Summon 1 "Mystic Swordsman LV6" from your hand or Deck.

Now here is my question..Marauding is on the field normal summoned, I got my Mystic Swordsman LV4 in my hand then I'll can special summon him.That means my MS LV4 can be placed in Face up Attack position..

My opponent plays when my marauding is normal summoned on the field a Book of Moon on him..so it's closed on the field..So Warrior is not save anymore for attacks to it..But is my effect from Marauding normal summon applied..i Think yes because the normal summon has being done so it's applied..But yeah i must have another answer from you guys and gals..

the discussion here is that book of moon closes and there for you can't play a Mystic Swordsman LV4 in open Attack position to the field.So i want a conclusion overall

Player A Summons Marauding Captain.
Player A activates Marauding Captain's effect. (Chain 1)
Player B chooses to activate their set Book of Moon. (Chain 2)
No additions to the Chain.

Now Resolve:

Chain 2: Marauding Captain is turned face-down.
Chain 1: Mystic Swordsman LV4 is Special Summoned face-up (either Attack Position or Defense Position, Player A's choice)

Unless his Normal Summon itself was negated (Horn of Heaven, Solemn Judgment), his effect can be activated and resolve. Turning him face-down will not prevent his effect from activating/resolving.

Marauding Captain has been succesfully summoned, so that effect will trigger, and you will be able to Special Summon Mystic Swordsman.

After this, your opponent activates BoM.

So BoM is activated when MS LV4 already is summoned.

It makes no difference in the result at all...
but if the opponent chains Book, then the Marauding is FIRST put face-down and THEN the MS LV4 will come to the field...
just as somewan stated! ;)

So, Dark Magician of Chaos [if its effect applies at the end of the chain], Zaborg the Thunder Monarch, Frobius the Frost Monarch, and other cards with the "successfully summoned" text will apply these kind of effects, regardless if they are destroyed or turned face-down when summoned, as long as the summon is not negated.
