I had an idea in the past to have alot of tributes and to exploit my opponents monsters to summon my own...

Now that I can play > 1 Phoenix , and my Chimera does not work I made this :

Deck Count 41

Monsters 20

1 Dark Magician of Chaos
2 Cyber Dragon
3 Sacred Phoenix

3 Hand of Nephtys
2 Old Vindictive Magician
2 Apprentice Magician
3 Giant Orc
2 Drillroid
1 Sangan
1 Treeborn frog

Spells 12

1 Snatch Steal
1 Soul Exchange
1 Premature Burial
2 Smashing Ground
1 Book of Moon
1 Nobleman of Crossout
2 Enemy Controller
1 Scapegoat
1 Heavy Storm
1 Mystical Space Typhoon

Traps 9

1 Torrential Tribute
1 Call of the Haunted
2 Deck Devastation Virus
1 Mirror Force
1 Ring of Destruction
1 Sakuretsu Armor
2 Generation Shift

Side Deck 15

1 Jinzo
3 Solemn Judgement
1 Giant Trunade
1 Brain Control
2 Metamorphosis
2 Waboku
1 Mask of Darkness
2 Rush Reklessly
1 Snipe Hunter
1 Blowback Dragon

The main Concept is to bring out Sacred Phoenix and set Generation Shift . When in need of protection ( Bottomless , or being attacked by a stronger monster ) use Generation shift to thin the deck , by drwaing the next one , and also destroy my Phoenix to force his effect.

Also of cource to use Deck Devastation Virus to criple my opponent and see his hand ( I know I have only 3 Dark with >2000 atk ... )

I have been running a phoenix deck...and 3 copies is overkill. Also, the splash of Deck Devestation is random and pointless and will lose you some matches.

I understand your move. He generation shift idea. The problem is that it isnt always workable. Instead try to focus on negating or destroying the bottomless or evil 2400+ monster that will kill it

-1 phoenix
-1 hand
-2 enemy controller
-2 generation shift
-1 DDV

+1 Snipe Hunter (needed for main deck to toss bad hands)
+1 Needle Ceiling
+2 Dust Tornado
+1 Morphing Jar
+1 Rush Recklessly
+1 (any monarch)
+1 Jinzo (or any monarch)

1 card was added to keep the apprentice engine working as smooth as possible in this deck. Running 40 doesnt work well with two copies of phoenix. To me, 42 is the best a phoenix deck flows. If you want to stay at 41, drop the needle ceiling
