Also, I may well use my character design for myself. I like the idea of a familiar name, and I like the names I gave in general. I think I'll make Kalsetti an alien, and all aliens of his species have the familiar name system going on, which everyone can be taught about so there's less mistaken, "he called that alien An so I will too," (as mentioned before, using a familiar name without being allowed to is highly offensive). General features of his species are lankiness, freedom of expression (and comfort therewith), only minor secondary sexual characteristics (i.e. few physical differences between genders) and maybe one or two other things that may well be stolen from Avatar. But not the blue skin. Perhaps very pale, nearly white skin instead.
