New Terminology

Very interesting. Very interesting indeed. I'm anxious to see if this trend will continue, and/or spill over into other effects as well.

Well, they'll have to change up the rulebook to accomadate such changes. That interests me the most, because the only way I know how to procure the newest rulebook is through a structure/starter deck... A guy can speculate can he not?

They certainly will have to change the Rule Book. It just doesnt make any sense to say that a monster that has a Higher ATK than a monsters DEF does Piercing Damage, and that Battle Damage is the same as Piercing Damage, when you could have just left it as it was. That's like saying "A Jar of Jelly" is different from "Jelly in a Jar". They both say the same thing, so what did calling it another word do, unless you are going to remove the entire statement

"When the attacking monster has a higher ATK..."

And just say,

"In addition to its regular attack, this monster can inflict Piercing Damage in a Defense Position monster"

and the player automatically understands that higher ATK and lower DEF equals "Piercing Damage".

Or in the rule book it would say:
Piercing damage
When a monster attacks with an ATK that is higher than the DEF of a defense position monster, inflict the difference as battle damage to the opponants Life Points.

All pros will already know what Pierce is.

Also Pierce is fitting since most cards involve Spears (think about it)

I just wish they would publish a complete 'all cards' list of text that updates each and every one of them when they pull stunts like this. This won't show up on the errata page.

(I think it's a good thing, I'm just beyond bored retyping the same cards in over and over and over and over and over and over again -- hence the reason I'm so far behind on the latest RONIN update -- I knew half of the Zane cards need to be redone)

Good, I got tired of getting dirty looks from the "elite" MTG players who decided Yugioh cards don't have TRAMPLE.
