Job Title: Upper Deck UK Organized Play Temporary Representative (Internship)

Period: Tuesday 27th May – Friday 4th July Inclusive (6 Weeks Period). Work contract extension possible.
Monday – Friday, 9am – 5.30 pm with a flexible half hour lunch break

Salary: Hourly Wage TBD.

Job Description:
You will be assisting the UK Organized Play team on multiple projects for the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG and World of Warcraft TCG. You will be helping out on current assignments whilst the team establishes new initiatives in preparation for the World of Warcraft Miniature games and Huntik TCG for 2009 as well as upcoming programs for the current product range. This job is suitable for candidates that wish to see how the games industry operates whilst obtaining relevant experience working in a regular office environment. Good personable telephone skills are a plus.

Job Roles:
• Help solicit programs by phoning organizers that are in good standing with Upper Deck (Sneak Previews, Summer Cup, Pharaoh Tour etc.)
• Send out support and prize material for organizers.
• Help gather data on tournament activities, including phoning aforementioned organizers for constructive feedback.
• Have limited input on creative designs and promotions of upcoming Upper Deck organized play programs.

Required Qualifications

• Job application open to those aged 18 years or older.
• 6 months working experience within an assisting role in a marketing department or 1 year of Organized Play experience.
• A-Level qualification or similar
• Ability to prioritize
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
• A motivated self-starter with the ability to perform duties/meet deadlines under direct supervision.
• Can work as part of a highly developed UK based team.
• Strong problem solving, negotiating, consulting and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of Trading Card Game Organized Play, including competitive tournaments
• Able to work from the Upper Deck offices in Theale near Reading on a daily basis
• Proficiency in the following software: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint.
• Undergo compulsory product familiarization and orientation….
