The way that PCQs have been run will no longer be the same come September. Below is a link that explains the new way they are doing them.

I would like to know what your feelings are on this change . Is it something that can help the game or will it hurt it? Something that wasn't posted it the article worth mentioning is that PTO's are required to split the number of PCQs they are given. So it wil be 50% sealed and 50% constructed.

Being that I wasn't into the Pro Circuit much, I don't know to what degree this possibly hurts the game. From my perspective, it looks like it might actually give me chance to attended one of these durn things. I guess for those cats that like to decide at the last minute whether they are going to play Sealed or Constructed, it possibly hurts them. IN my mind, since Sealed has become such a strong format in this game, one should be prepared to take on both bulls by the horns. This will force us all to do that. <Dusts off Deck Box> <Gets Bit by Recluse>

With most PCQ being a long drive for most people, who wants to do the drive twice. Or worst yet spend money on a hotel and blow a whole weekend just to play VS. I think it caters more to the hardcore VS players that don't have jobs or have families. For us occasional players that can't blow a whole weekend playing vs we are going to have to decide what we want to play before we go. Another thing that bothers me is that if you go with a group of people as most VS players do, some play sealed and some play constructed. Now the constructed players are not going to want to go on the sealed day and vice versa. I like playing sealed and perfer sealed to constructed now. My friends are the opposite, kinda sucks because now if I want to play sealed I'm going to probably have to go dolo or bite the bullet and play constructed.

The upshot is that the prize support has been improved! more mats and more tins yessss.....

But from what their saying, there's going to be more events at more locations then before, so it will be less likely you will have to drive such a long distances all the time.

I really hope that more stores are going to participate in the PCQ, because driving over two hours to get to one is a bit much.

I just drove 2 hours to maine and 2 hours back for a pcq... split in the sealed event and 2nd in the constructed event. I now have x2 boxes of Infinite crisis and 2 extra shazam mats, I plan on selling it.

Who wants to buy x-men or infinite crisis t-shirts? lol.
