Peten Question

I attack my opponents face-down peten the dark clown and its dectroyed. Then my opponent plays micizure in chain to peten going to the graveyard and chose my monster that destroyed peten as the target. Then after my monster is destroyed he wants to use petens effect and get another one out. So is this an approriate resolution?

No because they could not activate "Michizure" in the first place since you are still in the damage step of the battle phase.

Now if we replaced the battle damage with say you used "Raigeki Break" to destroy "Peten", and he used "Michizure", then no, he missed the timing to use "Peten"'s effect. That would be what he needed to do as soon as Peten hit the graveyard (which then he missed the timing on "Michizure" so it's one or the other).

When you activate Peten's effect the last thing to happen would be Peten being sent to the graveyard. So as long as Peten was destroyed outside of the battle phase you may chain Michizure to Peten's effect. (Michizure can be chained with, you may activate 3 michizures at one time if you want, if the timing for one is correct the timing for 3 is correct)
