PHOENIX GOD OF NEFUTISU

FET JP 004
FIRE/BIRD/8 STAR
ATTK 2400 DEF 1600

EFFECT: If this card is destroyed as a result of a card effect, special summon this card during your next standby phase. If successfully summoned in this way, destroy all magic and trap cards on the field.

my question is can i use card destruction or tribute to the doomed, etc. send it to grave then summon next standby phase??

Is "destroyed" means the same as "sent to the grave" or "discard"????

help please....

tanks very much

although all cards end up being sent to grave nor card destruction nor tribute to the dommed destroes cards

as such, the effct of a creature that demands to be derstroyed to activate its effct will not activate as seen in vampire lord rules

so

destroy----> send to grave

tribute-----> send to grave

cost effct----> send to grave

as you can see, card destrcution merely send to grave, like "jumping" a previous step

woltarr

Flaming Eternity, the next set.

However, again I caution giving any rulings based on translations of the Japanese cards since they may not match the text once it is printed in the US.

Yeah, I'm left wondering if it's a case of it having to be destroyed by your opponent's card effect and not just any card effect.

The Only card that can ACTUALLY destroy cards in your hand or deck would be Chain Destruction. Card Destruction only discards the cards in your Hand and those cards are NOT considered destroyed (they were just sent to the graveyard). This cards is more or less like Vampire Lord, so take a look toi the rulings if you want :D

Thats the fun of Judging Sneak Peaks, you dont see the UDE printed text till the event itself at times, and Kevin doesnt send out the rulings till a couple days before the event. So till then your on your own and in the dark.

If I remember correctly, 'Chain Destruction' does not destroy the summoned monster, only the copies that are in the hand or deck.

That's why people use 'Compulsory Evacuation Device' in a chain to put the summoned monster back into the opponent's hand to be destroyed by 'Chain Destruction'.

That won't work. Chain Destruction targets, it needs the monster on the field to know what cards to search the deck and hand for.
