Phoenix/Spiritual Fire Art

I've had this idea bouncing around in my head for a while, but can't get around it. The idea is using Phoenix and Spiritual Fire Art Kurenai together, continuosly tributing Phoenix for Spiritual Fire Art and doing 2400 damage. I don't know if Tributing Phoenix via Spiritual Fire Art triggers Phoenix's rebirth or not, but here is my current thought as to monsters/traps with the deck:

Dark Magician of Chaos
Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys
{3} Des Frog
{3} Solar Flare Dragon
{2} Apprentice Magician
{1} Hand of Nephthys
{3} T.A.D.P.O.L.E.
{1} Exiled Force
{1} Sangan
{1} Newdoria
{1} Injection Fairy Lily

Potential Magic:

{3} Reasoning
{3} Last Will
{3} Des Croaking

Traps:

{3} Spiritual Fire Art - Kurenai
{1} Torrential Tribute
{1} Call of the Haunted


As to the rest, I have no idea. I've never used Reasoning/mill/Monster Gate before, so the idea is to focus the deck on Phoenix, using Des Frog and Des Croaking for thinning and another fall back strategy.

Any help appreciated!

Thanks. Someone told me on my other thread. Still, I've got new ideas forming about this deck with the Des Frogs, Phoenix, Reasoning...and Dimension Fusion.

why not use gaia?

it comes in swinging as a 2k trampler that will die at the end of the turn anyways.

why not make most use out of him by then tributing and dealing damage?

Because that has nothing to do with this deck?

Maybe we could try... Prickle Fairy? Lord Poison? If we had two prickles and one lord, it would make for excellent field presence, and yet another combo with Last Will.
