I would like query if the following situation legal.

Player A have a face up vampire lord and a set call of the haunted on the field.
During Player B's turn,Player B summon pyramid turtle and cast creature swap.
Player A activate call of the haunted to special summon Banisher of the light to swap with player B.
Player B then used Mystical Space Typhoon FROM HAND to destroy the call of the haunted. And thus player B state that since Player A has only vampire lord on the field the pyramid turtle will swap with vampire lord.
Is this legal?
Thanks in advance

Listen, this can go two ways.

1.) If Player B let Call of the Haunted resolve, then yes, the opponent will then swap Banisher of the Light with your Pyramid Turtle for obvious reasons, and cards cannot interupt an effect when cards are resolving.

2.) If Player B wishes to prevent that and wish to chain with Mystical Space Typhoon from the hand, then yes you may.

Player B: activates Creature Swap
Player A: chains Call of the Haunted and designates Banisher of the Light
Player B: chains Mystical Space Typhoon and designates Call of the Haunted
Both Players do not respond
Resolve steps backwards
Step 3: Mystical Space Typhoon destroys Call of the Haunted
Step 2: the effect of Call of the Haunted will not resolve
Step 1: Creature Swap resolves, both Players then select 1 monster to switch control to the opposing player

Note: Quickplay Spell cards can be activated from the hand in a chain during your turn only.

It depends. If actvated in a chain the chain would form like this

Player A: Activates Creature Swap - step 1
Player B: Chains Call of the Haunted - step 2
Player A: chains MST to destroy Call - step 3

Chain resolves backwards:

Step 3: MST resolves destroying Call
Step 2: Call cannot Special Summon because it was destroyed
Step 1: Since the ruling on Creature Swap is that it the monsters are chosen on resolution ,of the effect rather than activation, the monsters are chose by each player now.

A perfectly leagal chain.

Strike Ninja, I was gonna say something about Quick-Play Spell cards not having the ability to be played from your hand. However, I was thinking opponent's turn cause that usually is when the error is made.
