Advice for a New TO and Judge
from UDE's Player Management Forums
Greetings everyone. My name is Francis Nunziata and I am a relatively new World of Warcraft Miniatures Rules Judge and Tournament Organizer. I have played the game in a few sanctioned and unsanctioned tournaments as well as playing it extensively with active players in my community. Recently, I was reached out to by a store owner to aid them in sanctioning tournaments for their store and judging it. As it is my first exprience in doing so, I wanted to reach out to you all to see what you might be able to provide me for my first time running the tournament and judging it.
I have done my best to keep myself well versed in the Tournament Policies, Penalties (if needed), and most importantly the rules for the game including reading up on the forums and other applicable recommendations through various websites like Metagame, etc.
I have also taken the time to visit a few other retailers in town that host their own sanctioned tournaments, and spoke to the local owners/judges about their experiences and what they do to make it a smooth, and fun game for all.
Is there something else I should be doing or looking for in order to make myself as prepared as possible for this?
Thanks in advance.
