Great tool for Deck lists
from UDE's Player Management Forums
Now that I have gotten permission to do this I wanted to put up the link to a great FREE piece of software for deck building and printing. I will also put a link at the end of the post to the forum for the software that lists current bugs and enhancements.

The program is called Deck Studio. It can be downloaded from http://www.deckstudio.net

***Edit*** New Version 1.5 is now available --
See the link below for the forums to get all the details, or my post on page 2 of this thread, but the highlights are
1. Compatible with Vista
2. New export feature allows direct cut and paste into MetaGame Format.

It has two main areas of fuctionality. First for the judge or store employee that has to type up the top 8 or 16 decklists it offers an extremely fast way to enter them and get a very proffesional looking deck, using the quick entry tool. It also has a tool for validating the deck's legality for advanced or traditional format decks. This is a great way to catch typing errors before you print out the decklist. Keep in mind you need to use the tool, it does not automaically check each players deck (hence the decklists given out to the top 16 players this past Saturday at the SJC included one where I forgot to verify and had 2 "Sangans" listed, of course the player only had one in his deck).

The other main area is for the players. They can quickly enter their decks, verify them to be sure they do not have only 39 cards listed. They can name and save the decks and go back in after the event to enter comments. It also offers features that allow the player to see what a random first 5 card hand would be and then to draw out the deck. It shows images of the cards as well as the most recent card text. It also offers many ways to search for cards in addtion to the quick entry tool. And it never hurts to turn in a nice orderly typed decklist to the judges.

It is easily updatable and keeps very current with new releases and changes to the ban list.

The forums with know bugs and new features can be found here

Lastly I just want to mention that I am in no way affiliated with the developers of Deck Studio. I am just a very big fan of the program who has saved himself countless hours of typing decklists by using it.

Hey, Dillie-O. I didn't know you got mentioned on the Judges Board. That's great. Hope a collaboration does come to fruition.
