Proper shuffling methods
from UDE's Player Management Forums
The topics on randomization and shuffling reminded me to ask about this one...
Players shuffling their own decks seem to be already covered in the other topics, but what about shuffling the opponent's deck? For example, assuming you're keeping within time constraints, is it legal to pile shuffle your opponent's deck, then riffle shuffle it?
And can you ask your opponent not to shuffle with certain methods? Another example, I hate to see my own cards riffle shuffled (I'm paranoid about bending
), could I keep my opponent from using that method?
And finally, if my opponent happens to be bad at shuffling and I notice (Either they're very slow, they're poorly randomizing it, or they're damaging the cards), can a judge be called to do the shuffling for them?
