Power Bond + XYZ Fusion

Can you use Power Bond to summon the XYZ Fusion monster in order to double their attack?

I would say no to that question.

Power Bond sends the fusion parts to the Graveyard to summon the Fusion monster; XYZ requires the monsters to be removed from play. The monster summoned is treated as Fusion Summoned, and the XYZ fusions are not considered to be Fusion Summoned, since they never use "Polymerization" or any equivalent card to summon them.

No, because the XYZ's are nomi monsters and can't be Special Summoned in other manner other than the way printed on the card.

So with XYZ-Dragon Cannon being nomi, even after you remove X, Y, and Z to bring it out, you cannot Premature Burial or Shallow Grave to bring it back?

Never mind, when I put the post the autolinking answered my question as soon as I saw the word 'except' in the card text.

NOMI means you can't bring them back period even if you properally summoned them before. Cards like Dark Necrofear and Black Luster Soldier-Envoy of the Beginning aren't NOMI monsters because they have a cost involved in their initial summoning. However, if they aren't summoned properally the first time they can't be summoned through cards like Premature Burial or Call of the Haunted.

Acutally, they aren't NOMI because they don't have the word 'except' in their text. Remember, that's the key for NOMI monsters. If it says 'except' in it's text, then it can't be reborn or brought back.

nomi isn't an abbreviation, it's Japanese for "only", so it isn't NOMI, it's nomi......
