HI people i just joined your forums and im from sweden, kinda Yu-Gi-Oh! is new here and it seems it will be a huge hit

I wanted to ask a rule bout MST

If i for example activate a trap during my turn and the opponent activates MST on the trap will the trap then resolve?

It depends. Let's say if you activate a Reinforcements then they cannot negate if they chain with a MST, the trap will still resolve since MST is not a Counter Trap card
Those are for normal traps.

For continuous traps, something like a Dragon Capture Jar or Spellbinding Circle, they may MST it upon activation, effects of those cards won't be negated but will "disappear" since they're destroyed and no longer on the field

yeah thats what i thought since it only said destroy a spell or trap card and not negate =)

btw i find it quite funny when my friend argued about Waboku last night 0_o it said prevent damage from monsters on his card and on mine monster?

Waboku explainination: it makes any Battle Damage done by an OPPONENT'S monster to 0. Therefore, the attack would just stop your monsters from being destroyed. Errr let me make an easier scenario...

Player A has an Archfiend Soldier (1900 atk) and Player B has a Gemini Elf (also 1900 atk) and a previously set Waboku.

Player A attacks with Archfiend Soldier for a kamikaze with Gemini Elf. Player B activates Waboku, stopping all Battle Damage done by Archfiend Soldier, however, Gemini Elf lives and Archfiend Soldier still dies, get it?

For other situations, NetRep has a whole article on Waboku somewhere
