question on spear cretin

On the netrep site under the card registry there used to be a ruling listed for spear cretin saying that he could not be selected by his own effect. So basically that if spear cretin was sent to the grave and his effect was activated that you could not select him as the target, but you would have to choose another target instead. Since that ruling is no longer listed has the ruling changed or is that ruling still in effect?

The ruling still applies. We've just been doing an overhaul on the database to make sure nothing conflicts with the UDE site (so as best not to confuse players).
