Im sorry if this was already answered but I used search and didnt find the answer....


If Waboku, Hallowed Life Barrier or Kuriboh is used to reduce the damage of Raging Flame Strike to 0 does is still get the 1000 attack point bonus.....im thinkning you have to do at least 1 point of damage to attack succesfully but I have had a few people disagree with me.....

spirit reapers text is exactly the same and we know reaper has to de atleast 1 point of damage. so your right, he does not gain the 1000atk bonus

Mucus Yolk is more along the line of Raging Flame Sprite and to me a better example since it cant even attack if it isnt boosted.

The ruling for Mucus Yolk states that zero damage is not damage, so if Raging Flame Sprite were to attack and the damage is reduced to zero by some effect, then Sprite did not successfully attack directly and would not receive a bonus.

Just because your attack was not negated doesnt mean that you attacked directly "successfully".
