ra's ruling

ok a few questions on Ra's al Ghul cost 4 effect. it states that .....

Card Text Loyalty. When Ra's al Ghul comes into play, turn all locations your opponents control face down. Your opponents may not flip locations.

1) when can your opponent activate his locations? does ras al ghul have to be stunned to activate his location cards???

and Ra's al Ghul cost 8 effect. it states that .....

Card Text Loyalty. Your locations are not unique. Characters without the League of Assassins team affiliation have no team affiliation and cannot use payment powers.

question on this one is, what payment powers does it exactly negate? does your opponent lose the ability to use reinforcement?

i belive that payment powers refers to boost, or Activate-->>effect.

and yea the first ra his effect only works while face up on the field its a continous effect.

but from what my friends have told me even if you bring out psimon on turn 7 you can respond to the summon and play plottwist of cost 6 or less.

which is kind of man. i dunno.

my other friend said something about stacks.

The 4 drop Ra's effect prevents your opponent from activating locations while he's face-up. Your opponent would have to stun him to activate his locations.

The 8 drop Ra's prevents your opponent from activating "payment effects." These are any effects that have an arrow (è) in it. This includes:
Activate è To get this effect
Exhaust a Darkseid's Elite caracter you control è To get this effect
Stun target character you control è To get that effect
.

And so on. These are payment effects. Any thing before the arrow is a payment for the effect after the arrow, so that has nothing to do with regular reinforcing.

EDIT: Oh yeah BOOST and other effects without the arrow are not payment effects.

I'm a little picky, but I think it's important not get the two game terms confused. It helps to keep the different game mechanics clear.

You can chain to the recruitment of any character when it's brought into play. It's not like YGO's unchainable summons. You can then chain onto that effect and so on and so forth. Makes the game a little less broke and alittle more paced.

well from what my friend said hes activating in responce of Psimon hitting the field.

and psimon doesnt let 6 or less cost plot twists activate.

so i figure he comes out its done for, but they said you can respond and it wont be a problem.

im not trying to get 2 games confused with rules just wondered why it works.

does the effect not work untill the responce is cleared?

Well, the reason I say not to get the two game confused is that Psimons effect isn't like Jinzos. It doesn't immediatly activate. Ther is a chain point. And that chain point is the recruitment of Psimon.

Yes. And remember too that they do not chain to the Recruitment until you pass the chain on to them. You always have priority to buld a chain untill you pass on it. Then they can build on the chain from there.
