Have question on this one myself:

What about if I play both Emergency Provisions on two face down cards do I get
4000? Or could I only do one at a time?

Answer:

That would not be possible.

Everyone, again, needs to remember that the cards you send to the Graveyard
are an activation cost.

If you think you can use the same card to pay for two copies of "Emergency
Provisions," you are mistaken.

Let's say I've got 2 "Emergency Provisions" and 1 "Jar of Greed" Set on my
Spell and Trap Card Zone.

I activate "Jar of Greed," putting its effect onto the chain. (My opponent has
no cards to play, so ignore them) Now I want to use "Emergency Provisions" and
send "Jar of Greed" to the Graveyard to pay its activation cost.

So I flip up the "Emergency Provisions" and I take the Jar of Greed and send it
to my Graveyard. Its effect is placed onto the chain.

Jar of Greed --> Emergency Provisions

I still have that other copy of "Emergency Provisions." I can activate it if I
want to, but it will not be able to use "Jar of Greed" to pay for its activation
cost because "Jar of Greed" is in the Graveyard.

So I stop there and allow the chain to resolve. I gain 1000 Life Points and draw
1 card from my Deck.
