Replays

When a replay occurs ie my my opponent plays Call of the Haunted when I was attacking directly. My question is does that take me back to my main phase. Allowing me to play Smashinig Ground and then proceding with another direct attack?

No it does not take you back to MP1. Once you've entered battle phase there you are! If you wish to activate Smashing Ground you'll have to end your battle phase (assuming you and your opponent do not wish to begin a chain in battle phase) and enter MP2.
