Rise of the Silver Surfer

Anyone else check out the trailers for the upcoming Fantastic Four movie? They actually have the silver surfer in it and from some reports Galactus will make an appearance.

I only saw the movie trailer the last time I was at the movies (for Casino Royale was it?). But they showed the Human Torch chasing after Silver Surfer. If they're going to revolve some story around the Surfer, it would only make sense that they explain how he received his cosmic powers. Enter Galactus.

I more than agree with the need for Galactus. I just hope this movie is better written and thought out than the first one. Although it made some bucks it seemed targeted for a younger audience. I've always been a fan of the Silver Surfer stories, especially those involving Thanos, so I hope this one does justice to him.

If successful, I can definitely see this spinning off into a full fledged Silver Surfer movie. And yes, Thanos would be cool. Maybe an Infinity Gauntlet-based movie could happen. I'd love to see that.

Of the Marvel movies I've seen thus far I give a thumbs up to: Spiderman and Spiderman 2, the X-Men series and Ghost Rider.

I give a thumbs down to: the Punisher, Daredevil, Electra, the Fantastic Four and the Incredible Hulk (what a terrible haircut)

For some of the better Marvel Characters I wish they would focus on the animated movies (like Iron Man and the Avengers) this way they could bring more of the universe to life.
